Madan Aashrit Memorial Technical School(MAMTS) was established in 2009 in the partnership program between the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training(CTEVT) and Madan Aashrit Memorial Foundation.
Madan Ashrit Memorial Foundation was established in the honour of two of the most respected people’s leaders Late Shree Madan Bhandari and Late Shree Jeevraj Ashrit. The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) constituted in 1989 (2045 BS) is a national autonomous apex body of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector committed for the production of technical and skillful human resources required to the nation.
It is initiated with the aim of imparting technical education and vocational training to ensure the quality education of young people at least one representing from each district of Nepal. Since its establishment, it has been providing long-termand short-term as well as vocational training courses, vocational education is a social process concerned primarily with people and the work they do in our society in addition to its concern with preparing people for work, it seeks to improve the work potential of the labour force. General education prepares us to live well but vocational education prepare us to work well in the human capital framework , general education creates general human capital and vocational whereas technical and vocational education creates specific human capital.
The College is situated at very easy location and is very much a part of the locality Kathmandu.
